Power fair usage policy.

1. Purpose

Power is provided as a convenience within selected storage units. It is intended to support lighting, charging cordless-tool batteries, charging small electronic devices and occasional portable power-tool use connected with managing stored goods.

Storage first. Powered units are storage units and are not marketed as workshops or permanent workplaces.

2. Included fair-use allowance

Each powered storage unit includes up to 50 kWh of electricity per calendar month within the monthly storage charge.

The allowance is designed for normal incidental storage-related use. As a guide, it is plenty for lighting and charging cordless-tool batteries through the month, and roughly equivalent to around 33 hours of a 1.5kW dehumidifier. Final supply limits and protective devices will be determined by the approved electrical design and commissioning process.

3. Additional electricity charges

Usage above 50 kWh in a calendar month will initially be charged at 30 pence per kWh. Electricity use will be measured through the approved metering arrangement for the unit and billed in accordance with the customer agreement.

The published tariff will be reviewed periodically to reflect electricity supply costs, metering, infrastructure and administration. Customers will be informed before a revised tariff takes effect.

4. High-demand and continuous-use equipment

Customers must declare high-demand or continuous-use equipment in advance. Examples include:

• electric space heaters
• continuous dehumidifiers or air-conditioning equipment
• refrigeration or freezers
• electric vehicle or traction-battery charging
• equipment intended to operate while the customer is away

SpaceHub may approve the proposed use, impose additional conditions or refuse it where electrical capacity, fire safety, planning, insurance or operational requirements make it unsuitable.

5. Customer equipment and safety

Customer equipment must be safe, suitable for the environment and used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Customers must not alter the electrical installation, bypass protective devices or create an unsafe load. Faults, damage, overheating or unusual operation must be reported immediately.

6. Automatic billing and upgrades

Where monthly consumption exceeds the included 50 kWh allowance, the additional usage will be invoiced automatically at the published tariff. Customers needing materially more power on a regular basis should contact SpaceHub so we can review whether a different charging arrangement or upgraded service is appropriate.

7. Launch status

This is the initial pre-opening policy. The powered-unit specification, metering method, load controls, billing process and permitted-equipment rules remain subject to final electrical design, planning, insurance, commissioning and the live customer agreement.
