Questions

Clear answers before you reserve.

Compare the visual guides, then use the answers below to choose the closest starting point.

How much space do I need?

A 10ft unit is a strong starting point for boxes, seasonal items, a motorcycle, smaller furniture, trade tools or online-business stock. A 20ft unit gives you roughly twice the external length and is better suited to a car, larger house move, bulky equipment or substantial business overflow. Open the visual guides for a clearer comparison.

Is this a binding booking?

No. It is a free priority reservation request and expression of interest. We will confirm final price, availability and terms before anything becomes binding or payable.

When is SpaceHub opening?

The current target is late 2026. Opening remains subject to planning, lease completion, site works, commissioning and final approvals.

What is included in a powered container?

The current proposal is a twin 13A socket, LED lighting and managed Wi‑Fi for powered units. The 20ft powered unit is proposed with two LED batten lights and the 10ft powered unit with one. Final specifications remain subject to electrical design, commissioning and availability.

How does the electricity fair usage policy work?

Powered units are currently planned with up to 50 kWh per calendar month for normal incidental storage-related use. Usage above that allowance is proposed at 30p per kWh. High-demand or continuous-use equipment must be declared and may require written approval. Read the power fair usage policy.

How will Wi‑Fi work?

The current plan is a managed Wi‑Fi service for powered units with individual logins, monitored usage and fair-use controls. Final bandwidth, package options and account setup will be confirmed before launch. Read the Wi‑Fi fair usage policy.

Can I operate a business from a unit?

You can use a unit as a storage and logistics base for stock, tools, equipment and packaging. The units are not marketed as workshops or permanent workplaces. Final permitted uses and site rules will be confirmed before opening.

Can I store a vehicle?

A compact car can fit within a typical 20ft unit, subject to the exact vehicle dimensions, door opening and the specific container. Choose “Vehicle or other” in the form and tell us the make, model and approximate storage period so suitability can be confirmed.

Are the units climate controlled?

No. The proposed units are drive-up, non-climate-controlled steel containers with ventilation. Customers will receive suitable storage guidance before moving in, including advice on airflow, moisture-sensitive items and appropriate packing.
